Hi, I’m Dr. Robert Remis. I received my Medical Degree from the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, in 1982.I continued my education to specialize in Urology, completing my residency at Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1987.With 38years of diverse experience as an MD, I am happy to be joining Iron County Medical Center’s team of specialty care physicians.I treat urinary incontinence, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), urinary tract infections (UTI), testicular cancer, bladder cancer, and Erectile Dysfunction (ED) as well as various other urologic conditions. The procedures I perform include circumcision, cystoscopy, ESWL, prostate biopsy, urinary flow tests, vasectomy, and bladder procedures.

 

I am now accepting new patients and hope you will consider me when you are seeking the services of an experienced, highly diversified,and skilled urologist. SURVIVAL FLIGHT ANNOUNCES NEW BASE LOCATION AT IRON COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER

PILOT KNOB, MO – Today, Survival Flight, a company that provides emergency medical air and ground transportation for critically injured patients, announced that their air ambulance base in Festus, referred to as Survival Flight 1, will be relocating to Iron County Medical Center in Pilot Knob. The base relocation is the result of a new partnership with Iron County Medical Center.

“Survival Flight 1 will continue to provide lifesaving services to the surrounding community from our new location at Iron County Medical Center,” Survival Flight CEO Chris Millard said. “We’re excited about this partnership and look forward to continuing to work with first responders to save lives.”

Survival Flight 1 at Iron County Medical Center will be equipped with a full-time crew and a larger Bell 407 helicopter that has additional capabilities and a larger capacity compared to smaller helicopters often used in the industry.

 

Iron County Medical Center is comprised of a Critical Access Hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Room, a Rural Health Clinic and a Specialty Clinic. It’s been providing care since 2006.

In addition to SF1, Survival Flight also has 16 other bases in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Local hospitals qualify for critical financial assistance

ROLLA – Congressman Jason Smith (R-MO) touted updated guidance from the Small Business Administration (SBA) that now allows rural hospitals that are owned or operated by counties or other localities to qualify for critical financial assistance programs. In early April Smith called on SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza to make this important change to ensure rural providers were not disproportionally affected.

ICMC is seeking three (3) RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS

ICMC is seeking three (3) RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS who will work on an as-needed basis on week-ends and holidays and to fill in for vacations.  Job duties include, but are not limited to, taking diagnostic x-rays as directed by supervisor and/or physicians according to established quality processes and protocols, preparing associated paperwork and follow-up documents, and other radiology-department related duties.  Interested candidates must be certified and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), have a minimum of 1 year of experience performing x-rays, and hold a current CPR/BLS certification.
