How Can I Receive Physical Therapy?
With a prescription from a qualified healthcare provider - nurse practitioner, physician, podiatrist - you can then contact the Physical Therapy Department for an appointment.
What Will Happen On My First Visit?
After being scheduled for an appointment, you will register with the business office prior to your appointment. A registered physical therapist will perform a comprehensive evaluation addressing the problem listed on the referral. The evaluation may include assessing the range of motion, strength, pain, functional difficulties, transfers, ambulation, balance, safety, and include your goal for physical therapy.
Who Can Receive Physical Therapy?
Physical therapists treat people of all ages. We treat orthopedic injuries, sprains, strains, post-fracture care, rotator cuff injuries (or post-surgery), strokes, deconditioning following heart surgery or hospitalizations, post hip or knee surgery, arthritis and other chronic conditions and the back/neck pain. This is not an all-inclusive list.
Physical therapy at Iron County Medical Center is available on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. We currently have two registered physical therapists on staff and one physical therapy technician.
We accept most insurance plans for physical therapy.
